Fishing For Fun
The Fishing For Fun 2013 programme got underway last friday 17th May at Loais Angling Centre just outside Roscrea.
The programme will continue with two further fishing sessions on Friday 24th May and Friday 7th June.
Sessions start at 10am and run until 2pm.
Cost: €5 for the 2 sessions.
All welcome.

Fit 4 Life Roscrea
The Fit 4 Life Programme is designed to give people the opportunity to get fit and enjoy walking / running in a structured environment. Participants set their own goals and are assisted by trained Fit 4 Life leaders in the club. The emphasis is on improving fitness is a fun sociable environment and no previous experience is required. All ability levels are catered for and participants exercise with others of a similar fitness level.
Fit 4 Life will be held every Monday & Wednesday form 7 pm to 8 pm at the Christian Brothers Field.

Go Walking: Tipperary
It's Healthy and it's FREE.
Walking is a simple activity that many people take for granted. It's a form of natural exercise that can help you live a longer, happier and healthier life while helping you control your weight. There are some fantastic walking trails around County Tipperary. With a range of lengths and grades, there is sure to be something for everyone. A series of organised walks will take place during 2013. The North Tipperary walks include:
- The Kilcommon Pilgrim Loop, Kilcommon on Sunday 4th August at 6pm.
- The Sli Eala walk from Nenagh to Dromineer on Sunday 20th October at 3pm

Participants of the Arra Mountains Walk held on Saturday 13th April 2013 as part of the Go Walking: Tipperary series of events.

Tipperary Link 4 Life 
Communities taking action to support their physical & mental well-being.
Tipperary Link 4 Life is a new initiative developed by the North Tipperary Sports Partnership (NTSP) in association with the HSE and Áras Folláin. It aims to connect physical activity and sporting volunteers with the training to understand every individual’s well-being, while emphasising the benefits of physical activity.
As part of Tipperary Link 4 LIfe NTSP offers training (SafeTALK & Peer Support & Self Advocacy training) to all members of the physical activity and sporting community – sports clubs, coaches, volunteers, fitness class instructors and tutors, teachers, parents etc. The community may also avail of our new Tipperary Link 4 Life brochure.

Visit Nenagh Classic - Fun Family Cycle
The Visit Nenagh Classic, FREE Fun Family Cycle took place on Sunday 21st April 2013 at 11am. More than 200 adults and children participated in this free event. The cycle began and finished on Pearse Street on the race finishing straight. The Nenagh Ormond Brass Band led the participants to the starting line, increasing the carnival atmosphere around Nenagh. All those who took part were treated to refreshments at the end of the cycle, generously sponsored by Tipperary Water, Donal O' Connor and Tesco. Congratulations and thanks to all those who participated and volunteered on the day to make this wonderful event a success. |

Bike Week 2013
National Bike Week 2013 runs from June 15th - 23rd. During this time cycling events will be organised across the country by local authorities, community groups, charities and cycling groups.
Nearly everyone has cycled at some stage – but so many lose the habit. Bike Week is an opportunity for people to get back on the saddle – for commuting or for recreation or just for the sheer joy of it! Cycling is a fun, healthy, safe, environmentally-friendly and low cost way to make those shorter journeys.

Disability Inclusion Training
On the 8th of December 2012 North Tipperary Sports Partnership & South Tipperary Sports Partnership facilitated a Disability Inclusion Training workshop delivered by the CARA Adapted Physical Activity Centre (www.caraapa.ie). Link 2B Active Programme now in North Tipperary

Minister of State, Alan Kelly TD, pictured with Elaine Cullinan (North Tipperary Sports Partnership Co-ordinator) and Tom Mackey (Manager, Nenagh Leisure Centre) on a recent visit to Nenagh Leisure Centre, one of the facilities participating in the Link 2B Active Initiative.
The Link 2B Active programme was developed by South Dublin Sports Partnership and is supported by the Irish Sports Council. The programme aims to increase participation in sport and physical activity by inviting a wide range of facilities to offer a reduced charge for registered unemployed people living in North Tipperary.
