Disability Inclusion Training
On the 8th of December 2012 North & South Tipperary Sports Partnerships facilitated a Disability Inclusion Training workshop delivered by the CARA Adapted Physical Activity Centre (www.caraapa.ie). The course was a great success and booked out well in advance of the day.
This workshop is designed for sports coaches, instructors, sport leaders, parents, volunteers and anyone interested or involved in the provision of sport and physical activity for people with disabilities.
The training course was developed by the National Training and Education Working Group for Inclusive Physical Activity, Sport and Physical Education. It is designed to give participants the ideas, knowledge and confidence to adapt their sessions to make them more accessible for people with disabilities.
The workshop includes both theory and practical elements.
The course has been designed for a range of audiences including National Governing bodies, Coaches, Sports Development Officers and Sports Volunteers.
