North Tipperary Sports Partnership was pleased to announce a Committee Training Workshop that ran over three consecutive Mondays in September in Tipperary Institute. The overall aim of this workshop was to make the work of Committees/Boards more effective, better able to respond to difficulties and more rewarding for members.
The topics covered in the workshops included:

o A clearer understanding of the role of the committee within these structures
o An understanding of the elements of a good committee process using a co-operation rather than a control-based model
o The specific functions and responsibilities of the key officers of the organisation especially the Chair, Secretary, Treasurer which may vary a little from organisation to organisation
The workshop was ran by Ciaran Lynch, (Director of the Rural Development Department at Tipperary Institute) in Tipperary Institute, on:
Prior registration with North Tipperary Sports Partnership was necessary and a nominal fee of €25 per club was required to secure a place.
