RUN FOR FUN
Would you like to jog or run with a group??
North Tipperary Sports Partnership (NTSP) are expanding our meet and train Leisure Running Group. If you are out jogging or running on your own and would like to join a group then this is for you!!
It will take the form of two evening sessions a week with an experienced running tutor and involves 10-15 min warm up, 30mins running / jogging at your own pace, cool down stretching, all under the guidance of our running tutor.
If you are a jogger or a walker at the moment, and would like to start jogging and running with an informal meet n train group, or maybe be able to complete a 5K or 10k run in 2010 (there is no pressure of competition for those that do not want to take part in any events, the emphasis is on participation and just getting fit) please give Elaine or Sharon a call at 067-43604, or email

ACTIVE LADIES SWIMMING PROGRAMME
The North Tipperary Sports Partnership with the co-operation of Thurles Action for Community Development and Thurles Leisure Centre offered FREE swimming lessons to females in the North Tipperary region.
This was part of a special ‘Women in Sport’ project that the Sports Partnership was promoting, with the aim of getting more women active in the North Tipperary area.

• Funded by the Irish Sports Council through their 'Women in Sport' initiative
• North Tipperary have targeted swimming pools to encourage female participation in the sport
The current participating pools are: Thurles Leisure Centre, Nenagh swimming pool and Roscrea Leisure Centre.
Thurles Leisure Centre:
• Wednesdays mornings: - swimming lessons: 1.00-2.00pm
Roscrea Leisure Centre:
The North Tipperary Sports Partnership also worked with North Tipperary Leadership Partnership and Roscrea Leisure Centre and offered FREE swimming lessons in Roscrea.
